Committee Volunteers

They're the Heart of Our Success

The club's functionality depends entirely on the dedication of its volunteer committee members, who contribute their time and effort without any financial reward. These individuals handle essential tasks such as organising events, managing finances and ensuring the club meets its objectives. Without their selfless commitment, the club would lack the leadership and workforce needed to operate effectively, potentially leading to its inability to host activities, maintain membership engagement or achieve its goals. Their voluntary service is the backbone of the club's existence, highlighting the importance of community involvement and collective effort in sustaining our club.

  • Democratic Election Process
Every year, during the club's Annual General Meeting (AGM), members of the club vote to elect committee members who's tenure of two years is coming to an end. This democratic process ensures that the leadership reflects the preferences of the club's membership, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Staggered Turnover for Continuity
The turnover of committee members is spread over two years, meaning not all positions are replaced at once. This staggered approach ensures that experienced members remain on the committee alongside newer ones, preserving institutional knowledge, maintaining operational continuity, and allowing for a smooth transition as new members learn their roles.
