A New Treasurer Needed – Could It Be You?
After seven fantastic years keeping our finances in perfect order, our wonderful Treasurer is ready to hand over the reins and enjoy some time off without thinking about spreadsheets!
We’re now looking for a new volunteer Treasurer to join our friendly committee.
Don’t worry – this isn’t a scary full-on accountancy job. It’s straightforward; we use the super-simple Square system (the same one you already see when you tap your card at the bar). Full training and handover will be given. Most months, it just takes a quiet couple of hours and a cup of coffee.
What the role involves (about 4–6 hours a month):
- Recording takings and paying suppliers (everything done online)
- Running a quick monthly summary for the committee
- Helping prepare our simple year-end figures (an external accountant does the complicated bit)
You’ll need to be reasonably numerate, honest, and happy to become (or already be) a club member. Everything else we can teach you.
In return, you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of keeping our club running smoothly, the gratitude of all your fellow members and a modest honorarium that comes with the role.
